Burrata is a fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream. The outer shell is solid mozzarella while the inside contains both mozzarella and cream, with a rich delicate and soft texture. Burrata was first made around 1920 as a specialty cheese and has recently grown in popularity in the U.S. The rich flavor and unique textures of the outer “purse” and the filling inside are usually complemented perfectly with prosciutto crudo, hard crusted bread, fresh tomato with olive oil and cracked black pepper or, as toping on pasta or pizza. Our Burrata has received highest award at the “2009 World Cheese Awards” at Canary Islands, Spain.

The exceptional bouquet is created by a 100% natural wood smoke process using a special blend of three different wood chips, each contributing uniquely to color, aroma, and flavor during a slow, cold-smoke process in our own traditional, natural wood-burning smokehouse.
